This presentation by Alexandre Gourdan, Attorney-at-law at Luther, is intended to provide the participants with an understanding of the GST aspects relevant to the logistics service industry so as to help them understand and apply the correct GST treatment of some of the more common services provided by businesses in this industry.


Alexandre will also provide an overview of the GST matters relating to the imports of goods in Singapore as well as the most common import related schemes available.

This event is recommended to businesses who:


  • are GST-registered and are in the business of providing logistics services such as transportation, goods handling (e.g. labeling, re-packing, inventory control, etc) and storage of goods;
  • are GST-registered and import goods for their business or on behalf of overseas persons.

About the Speaker:

  • Alexandre Gourdan, Attorney-at-law (Paris Bar & New York Bar), Luther LLP

Alexandre Gourdan is a French and New York qualified lawyer as well as an Accredited Tax Practitioner in Income Tax and GST in Singapore, who has been working for the French Desk of Luther LLP in Singapore as a foreign lawyer since 2014.

Alexandre also manages the French desk of Luther. Before joining Luther, Alexandre was working as a tax lawyer in France. Alexandre primarily advises European companies regarding the organization of their business activities, projects, and investments in the South-East Asia region, with a particular focus on Singapore, and helps them structure the same in a tax efficient manner which is compliant with their business and commercial needs.
