11 strategic areas:
How do I sign up?
You will need to sign up the first time with your name, email address and company. Once your registration is approved you will be able to log in and choose the course/s you want to take. There is no fee for signing up; you only pay for what you decide to use!
What are the technical requirements?
Modules are optimised for PCs, laptops, netbooks and tablets. All the modules use Flash Player, so an up to date Flash player plug-in is required. ‘Puffin’ app can be installed on iPads so that Flash will work. We do not recommend doing the learning on mobile phones because it is not designed effective learning on these platforms.
How do I pay?
You can use a credit card to pay directly for your courses at check-out.
Do the courses expire?
You can leave a course unfinished at any time and pick up where you left off by logging back in to the site and using the module menu to find the point you reached. You can take the courses as many times as you like for up to one year from the date of purchase.
Can I share the modules with colleagues?
The e-Learning is restricted to FCCS members only and the FCCS will verify membership at the time of sign up. If you would like to use the e-Learning more widely in your organisation please get in contact with FCCS directly.
How do I navigate around the learning site?
On the home page you will see the courses your have signed up for. There are 3 tabs to access individual modules, collections of 4-6 modules on the same topic, and assessment.
How do I use the modules?
The modules have been built for easy and quick navigation.
How long do they take to complete?
Each module typically takes 30-45 minutes to complete but you do not need to complete it all in one go. Assessments take between 20-30 minutes to complete depending on the module.
How do I use the assessments?
You will find both pre and post course assessments under the Assessment tab. All assessments are included with your module purchase and can be accessed at any time. Pre assessments are a test of your current knowledge of the topic, so at the end of the pre assessment you will receive a score but no feedback on your answers. Post assessments are a test of what you have learnt, so you will receive feedback on your answers as well as a score which you can use to compare with your pre assessment score and measure your progress.
