The partnership seeks to bring design thinking concepts and practices to the social sector to create innovative and sustainable solutions for the greater good.
Strate School of Design (France) and Social Innovation Park (SIP, Singapore) have sealed a strategic partnership to bring design thinking to the social sector, with the aim of deploying design thinking and principles for greater social impact.
Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, witnessed the signing of the collaboration agreement on the 2nd of September 2016, during the CSR and Social Innovators Forum co-organised by SIP.
The partnership will provide opportunities for stakeholders nominated through SIP to participate in design projects and design thinking training programmes with Strate, which will establish its first overseas campus in Singapore with the collaboration of SIM Global Education.
Design thinking has been used to great effect in the realm of business and has been known to foster cross-disciplinary inquiry to generate creativity and enable innovation. The partnership seeks to bring this ethos into the social sector and will help develop design thinking capabilities through customised design thinking classes.
