This session offers the unique opportunity for an up close and personal conversation with Mr Mathieu Girardin, CEO - Asia Pacific at CMA CGM.

2019 will be the year of transition towards the sulphur cap of IMO 2020, to be enforced on 1st Jan 2020. The Maritime industry is taking major steps forward in terms of sustainability and environmental protection.  As a front runner and the first shipping company in the world to order 9 future megaships of 22,000 TEUs to be powered by LNG, Mathieu Girardin, will review the impact of this new regulation, share best practices and discuss how CMA CGM is using digital transformation to better serve its customers.

This talk will be moderated by Frederic Vazzoler, President of Maritime Committee at the French Chamber of Commerce and Global Sales Director at Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions.

Mathieu Girardin

Mathieu Girardin is Chief Executive Officer, Asia at CMA CGM, a leading Maritime Group with a global presence in more than 160 countries and 29,000 employees worldwide.

He is responsible for Asia’s key business strategies and revenue growth and is constantly looking into innovative maritime, terrestrial, and logistical solutions to meet clients’ changing needs.

Mr. Girardin has more than a decade of corporate experience working for multi-national companies internationally.

Mr Girardin joined the CMA CGM Group in 2013 and has since acquired an extensive track record in line, trade, operations, cargo flow and ship management. Prior to joining CMA CGM, he was holding senior positions with RISE Conseil and Accenture.

Mr Girardin graduated from ESCP Europe (Masters in Management) in 2005 and INSEAD (Executive MBA) in 2018.
