Past Event| Learning Expedition at ION x NTU

The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore was delighted to accompany 46 Master’s students from Jio Institute, India, on a Learning Expedition to ION Orchard, organised in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

During the visit, the students explored ION’s eight retail floors and learned more about the strategy behind one of Singapore’s most iconic shopping destinations, from its tenant mix and customer segmentation to the use of technology and services to enhance the customer experience.

One key takeaway was the importance of putting people at the heart of the ION experience, with trained concierge teams, personalised services and digital solutions designed to make every visit as smooth as possible.

The students also learned more about ION Orchard’s architecture and its connection to the history of Orchard Road, once home to nutmeg plantations.

A great opportunity to see first-hand how retail strategy, branding, technology and customer experience come together in practice.
