ENGIE and Evonik Deepen Global Partnership with New Sustainability Project in Southeast Asia

ENGIE is pleased to strengthen its global partnership with Evonik through the launch of a new sustainability initiative in Southeast Asia.

Building on a long-standing collaboration—from green electricity transition projects in France to advanced cooling solutions in Singapore—this latest initiative supports Evonik’s defossilation roadmap at its largest Methionine Production site, which also houses its regional headquarters and innovation hub in Singapore.

The project features a 2.2 MWp hybrid rooftop and ground-mounted solar system, delivered through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The system is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power 7,230 three-bedroom apartments. This zero-CAPEX model helps Evonik reduce carbon emissions, control energy costs, and advance its global sustainability targets.

This initiative showcases how ENGIE’s integrated approach empowers multinational clients to accelerate their energy transition through local, high-impact solutions.
