Mapletree Launches Major Tree-Planting Initiative at St Andrew’s Junior College

Mapletree has launched its largest tree-planting initiative in Singapore with the planting of 300 trees at St Andrew’s Junior College, marking the start of a 600-tree programme across St Andrew’s Village, scheduled for completion by early 2027.
The initiative was held in conjunction with the 165th anniversary of St Andrew’s family of schools and brought together around 230 Mapletree staff alongside students and staff from St Andrew’s Junior College.
The additional trees are expected to help reduce heat, noise, and air pollution in the area near the Central Expressway, while contributing to a more conducive learning environment and potentially forming part of a biodiversity corridor along the Kallang River.
This programme forms part of Mapletree’s broader “Plant A Tree” initiative, which has already seen more than 62,000 trees planted, with a long-term target of 100,000 trees by 2030.
