Past Event | ASIA STARTUP SUMMIT 2024
Innovative solutions promoting sustainability, inspiring pitches, and dynamic B2B meetings were the driving force of the 6th edition of the ASIA STARTUP SUMMIT. As part of the Joint Year of Sustainability (JYOS) France- Singapore, the summit was organised by the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore in partnership with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Team France Export, La French Tech Singapore, and sponsored by CMA CGM ZEBOX, ENGIE Factory Asia-Pacific, and Shift4Good.
The summit began with opening remarks by the Ambassador of France, Minh-di Tang, Marianne Tan, Assistant Vice President for Environmental Sustainability Strategy at the EDB, and Thomas Baudlot, President of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring key corporate, startup, and venture capital experts.
Caroline Guyot, Managing Director at ENGIE Factory, Amel Rigneau, Head of ZEBOX APAC, Sebastien Guillaud, Co-founder & Managing Partner at Shift4Good, and Tommy Phun, Founder at Pyxis, shared perspectives on how Corporates, VCs and startups are collaborating to advance the sustainability agenda.
Paul-Eric Licari, Regional Head of Group Business Development at Grab, introduced the highly anticipated startup pitches. These presentations featured a diverse variety of innovative products and solutions designed to tackle climate change and promote sustainability. The startups showcased cutting-edge technologies and forward-thinking approaches with the potential to make a significant impact on environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
The pitch demos captivated the audience and set the stage for a series of B2B meetings, where participants engaged in productive discussions, exploring opportunities for collaboration and investment.
These discussions continued throughout the networking cocktail, organised in partnership with La French Tech Singapore. This gathering provided a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to foster meaningful connections, exchange ideas, and build partnerships.
