Past Event | Beyond the Algorithm: How AI is Rewriting the Rules of Food Marketing

The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) was pleased to co-organise, alongside WOMAG, an engaging discussion on how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way food brands connect with consumers.
The conversation explored how AI is reshaping brand discovery, with consumers increasingly using generative engines to search, compare and discover products. The discussion highlighted the growing importance of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and ensuring that brands are visible, understood and accurately represented in AI-generated recommendations.
Another key takeaway focused on product development and innovation. While AI can significantly accelerate new product development and shorten lead times, the panellists emphasised that consumer validation, sensory expertise and strong governance remain essential to creating products that genuinely resonate with consumers.
The discussion also addressed the evolving role of marketing professionals. As AI-generated content and automation become increasingly widespread, human creativity, strategic thinking and oversight remain critical to ensuring that technology enhances rather than replaces the human side of marketing.
Social listening and consumer data were also highlighted as important tools for identifying trends in real time. However, the increasing use of consumer data reinforces the need for transparency, trust and clear governance.
The evening concluded with a networking session over drinks and refreshments, giving participants the opportunity to continue the conversation, exchange perspectives and connect with fellow professionals in a relaxed setting.
The FCCS would like to thank Luke Tay, Divya Nagarajan, Michelle Lim and Tina Chopra for their valuable contributions, as well as WOMAG and all the participants who helped make the evening such an insightful and engaging event
