Past Event | CSR Club Roundtable: Navigating COP30 Outcomes and the COP31 Strategic Horizon

Throwback to a powerful CSR Club roundtable hosted by the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, focused on navigating the outcomes of COP 30 and the road ahead to COP 31. A special thank you to Anne Langourieux and Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard, co-founders of AlterCOP, for their invaluable insights and for leading a high-level discussion with our Chief Sustainability Officers members of the CSR Club.
The session provided a "reality check" on the current state of climate action, noting that COP 30 in Belém was characterized by a contentious atmosphere and limited progress on phasing out fossil fuels.
Attendees shared their priorities and challenges for the upcoming year, highlighting:
Systemic Redesign vs. Incremental Change: Participants emphasized that incremental change is no longer enough; instead, entire systems must be redesigned to move from ambition to execution, alignment, and courage.
Public-Private Collaboration: There is a critical need for closer collaboration to address the "real bottleneck," which is not technology, but rather capital and risk appetite.
Regional Focus for COP 31: As we look toward COP 31, which will feature a unique hybrid leadership model between Australia, Türkiye, and the Pacific, there is a strong call for a "just, clean energy transition" across the region through new infrastructure partnerships and investment facilitation.
The roundtable concluded with a look forward to AlterCOP 2026, which will continue these vital conversations across specialized weeks dedicated to Nature and Climate.
