Past Event | How to Approach AI with Real Supply Chain Use Cases for Successful Enterprise Integration

Our Supply Chain & Logistics Committee recently organised a highly insightful session how to leverage real-world AI use cases to drive successful, enterprise-wide integration in supply chain operations.

Our sincere thanks to our distinguished guests:

  • Manish Chawda, Founder, Intellisecure (in partnership with X-PM)
  • Ben Lee, Business Process Excellence Director, CEVA Logistics (APAC)
  • Alok Rajiv, CTO & Co-Founder, Tramés
  • Moderator:Ellen Hudreaux, Vice President Global Logistics, Schneider Electric

The discussion highlighted that data is the foundation of AI. Without clean, accessible, and well-structured data, even the most advanced models cannot deliver reliable outcomes. Speakers shared practical applications of AI that enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and route planning, helping companies improve efficiency and address labor constraints.

Participants emphasised that successful AI adoption goes beyond algorithms. It depends on clear business objectives, organizational alignment, and upskilling teams to integrate new tools with confidence. The conversation also explored the role of AI agents as productivity assistants, augmenting rather than replacing human capabilities.

From a governance and security perspective, the panel underscored the importance of coherent internal policies and alignment with evolving global regulations to prevent duplicated efforts and ensure responsible implementation. Ethical considerations, such as bias, accountability, and cybersecurity, were also addressed as critical pillars of trustworthy AI but without stopping innovation initiatives.

Key Takeaways:

  • Data first. Reliable, well-governed data is the essential foundation for AI value.
  • Predictive & efficiency gains. AI enhances forecasting, routing, and productivity.
  • People, process, change. Success depends on clarity, alignment, and upskilling.
  • Use cases, not hype. Focus on measurable, business-driven applications.
  • Governance matters. Coherent policies prevent fragmentation and support compliance.
  • ROI is iterative. Pilot, learn, and scale progressively.
  • Secure by design. Balance protection with usability to reduce risks.
  • Sustainability lens. Efficiency gains must be weighed against AI’s energy impact.
