TetriXX and LSCMS Launch Freya Cost Pressure Index to Anticipate Global Freight Cost Trends

Singapore, 8 April 2026 - TetriXX, the AI-native transport and logistics intelligence company, and The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LSCMS), Asia's leading professional body for supply chain practitioners, today announced the launch of the Freya Cost Pressure Index (FCPI) - the first forward-looking barometer tracking where freight cost pressure is building across global trade lanes before it reaches the invoice.

The FCPI is not a freight cost index. Cost indices measure what you paid last week. The FCPI measures where pressure is building right now - across fuel markets, geopolitical corridors, carrier capacity, and trade flow signals - and projects the impact forward over a 1 to 12 month horizon.

The launch comes during the most severe maritime disruption since the 1970s energy crisis, with the Strait of Hormuz effectively blockaded since late February 2026. All 10 trade lanes monitored by the FCPI are currently in crisis regime. But the tool is built for permanence. In a world of escalating geopolitical volatility, energy transitions, and capacity cycles, forward visibility on freight costs is becoming essential infrastructure.

Born from 35 years of cross-industry experience in transport and logistics - spanning aeronautics, automotive, healthcare, cosmetics, medtech, technology, chemicals, and luxury goods - the FCPI reflects a hard-won understanding that global supply chains are far more interdependent than most realize. From oil to fertilizer to plastic bottles, each transformation adds a layer of complexity that no single indicator can capture.

The methodology tracks 122 market signals across 17,971 data points daily, producing three scenario paths per trade lane (Base, Escalation, De-escalation) with 88% prediction accuracy across 630+ resolved predictions. Published every Friday, with unscheduled updates when any lane shifts 5% or more.

The FCPI is built for every stakeholder in the chain - manufacturers, shippers, freight forwarders, carriers, couriers, logistics service providers, and procurement teams. The partnership with LSCMS, whose Shippers Council represents 80+ shipper volunteers navigating global disruptions, grounds the tool in practitioner reality.

"The wave is coming. We built this so nobody has to face it alone," said Arnaud Rastoul, CEO and Co-Founder of TetriXX.

"For too long, supply chain leaders have been forced to drive by looking in the rearview mirror," added Dr. Raymon Krishnan, President of the Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society (LSCMS). "The FCPI changes the conversation from 'what happened to our costs last month' to 'how we protect our margins for the next twelve.' It provides the visibility our members need to navigate the current crisis regime with confidence."
