Veolia Secures Singapore's First License to treat PFAS-Based Firefighting Foams

Veolia Singapore is proud to announce that our hasardous waste treatment facility has been granted the country’s first-ever license by the National Environment Agency (NEA) to treat aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) containing PFAS, as part of our BeyondPFAS offering.

This milestone marks the first regulatory approval in Singapore for the high-temperature thermal treatment of PFAS-based firefighting foams. Our proven technology achieves up to 99.9999% destruction and removal efficiency for targeted PFAS, enabling industries to meet new regulations effective 1 January 2026 while contributing to Singapore’s environmental protection and sustainability goals.
