Sofia Hammoucha is the Head of Transaction Banking for BNP Paribas in South East Asia. Based in Singapore, she leads a team of Cash Management and Trade & Supply Chain Finance specialists who develop, implement and service trade and treasury solutions for corporate clients. Sofia is responsible for the business growth and acceleration strategy across five countries – Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, leveraging on excellence in solutions delivery and collaborating with other teams to bring the Bank’s full suite of integrated solutions to clients.

As a member of Transaction Banking APAC’s Executive Committee, Sofia coordinates the regional sales activities for the business given Singapore’s role as the APAC hub for regional treasury centres. She also manages an expertise desk for Transportation sector, and represent Transaction Banking APAC on various committees.

In 2020, The Asset named Sofia Transaction Banker of the Year in APAC, recognizing her relentless search for the best solutions for clients in South East Asia and beyond.

Sofia started her career with BNP Paribas as a graduate trainee in 2000, and has since covered several roles in credit risk management, internal audit, business development and strategy, in Paris and Singapore. Sofia holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Sorbonne University.
