Past Event | Cross-Chamber Event: Readjustment of sourcing strategies to address geopolitical instability

On 9 June, the French Chambers from New Delhi, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong successfully organised a Cross Chambers Webinar among Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain Managers and talked about the readjustment of the sourcing strategy in Asia.

During the session, members from the four chambers actively exchanged their views on the adaptation of sourcing strategies. They also discussed about how companies in APAC have been reacting to and adjusting their strategies following all the new environmental regulations in France and in the EU.

Thank you to all our participants for a very interesting discussion and we look forward to welcoming you all to our Supply Chain Symposium on 23rd June!

The session focused on significant topics of interest to the members from the Supply Chain and Logistics Committee, highlighting key areas of discussion:

  • Recent adaptation of sourcing strategies in light rapidly evolving environment (China-US growing tensions, pressure to decarbonize supply chains, Ukraine war…).
  • Where is sourcing redirected?
  • Who are the winners and losers of these adjustments?
  • What are the specifics of each industry?
  • How companies adjust to all the new environmental laws coming into effect in the EU and in France? AGEC, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, deforestation…
