Past Event | Site visit EssilorLuxottica - New Center for Innovation & Technologies Asia
Our sincere thank you to EssilorLuxottica Center of Innovation and Technologies, Asia, for hosting our members at their new headquarters. Their insightful presentation unveiled EssilorLuxottica’s ambitions & solutions to address Myopia disease, not only in Asia but worldwide.
Special thanks to the speakers, experts in vision care: Bastien Feret, Head of EssilorLuxottica’s R&D Center for Innovation and Technologies, Asia, Björn Drobe, Director, Vision Science Asia, Céline Carimalo, Director, Head of Consumer eXperience | Research Institution, Sunil Bhangale, Senior Manager Advanced Materials & Technologies and Damien Paillé, Myopia Category Innovation Manager. They garnered valuable insights on the prevalence of myopia in Singapore, which is among the highest in the world. Participants were also guided through the entire lens manufacturing process during the laboratory tour. This event enhanced participants' understanding around EssilorLuxottica’s innovative lens technologies which include myopia control solutions that go beyond correcting myopia to effectively slowing myopia progression especially among children.
