WEBINAR: The Future of Retail in Asia: Post-Covid19

All eyes are on Asia again as it stands on the forefront of retail sector's next challenge - to accelerate into recovery and rebound stronger.

As the virus began to spread out from China, Asian retailers provided the first lessons to their global peers on how to mitigate the impact of both supply and demand side shocks. All eyes are on Asia again as it stands on the forefront of retail sector's next challenge - to accelerate into recovery and rebound stronger, most likely in different ways.

The transition to recovery will not be smooth sailing. Retailers will have to find innovative methods to engage and retain customers in the new era, where we don’t know yet if the current focus on “essential” products will redefine customers behaviour or if we should expect the opposite. This is in addition to existing pressures of “anytime, anywhere” service demanded by hard-to-please customers.

Thanks to our excellent panelists:

  • Nils Swolkien, Managing Director of Decathlon Singapore
  • Dr Wolfgang Baier, Group CEO, Luxasia Pte Ltd,
  • Anders Peter Sauerberg, Group CEO & Co-Founder, Norbreeze Group
  • Frederic Gomer, Managing Partner of B2G Consulting
  • Prof. Cedomir Nestorovic of ESSEC Business School

Watch the webinar and understand how retail recovery looks like, considering that Asia is under scrutiny by the rest of the world to learn from; how the recovery may not be as expected, in the face of perturbed demand and how the retail industry will respond, considering how the consumer purchasing power is impacted by economic situation and travel constraints.

This webinar was organised in association with Singapore Retailers Association, ESSEC Business School and B2G.

Thank you to our kind speaker and participants for joining this webinar.
