France - Singapore Urban Sustainability Forum
Join the “France- Singapore Urban Sustainability Forum: from Green Neighbourhoods to Innovative Buildings”
The Embassy of France in Singapore, in partnership with the France’s Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE) and the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS), is pleased to present a high-level forum on urban sustainability, “from green neighbourhoods to innovative buildings”.
With the support of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), and in the context of the Singapore International Green Building Conference (IGBC) 2025, this event will bring together key French and Singaporean experts to explore multi-scale solutions for sustainable urban development and green construction, from eco-neighbourhood planning to innovative low-carbon materials.
Main guest speakers from France include:
- Olivier Richard, geographer and urban planner at the the Paris urban planning agency (APUR), in charge of the new Paris City Bioclimatic Urban Masterplan, one of the most innovative approaches to urban planning in the current context of climate change
- Dominique Jakob, architect at Jakob + MacFarlane, and curator of the French Pavilion at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, questioning the role of architecture in the face of contemporary transformations, under the title “Vivre avec / Living with”.
- Grégoire Virat is a partner at Eurogroup Consulting, a strategy and transformation consulting firm he joined in 1999. He is also a French Foreign Trade Advisor (Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France) and co-author of the white paper Future ASEAN Sustainable Cities.
Speakers from Singapore include representatives from URA, as well as Sonny Chionh, Executive Director of RSP Architects, and Fung Ling Seah, Business VP of Schneider Electric.
