In collaboration with Cegos, join us for an exclusive Leadership Roundtable Discussion & Networking

In this Roundtable and Networking Session, we will delve into “How Leaders Can Connect With Employees” with the following key discussion points:

  1. Self-Reflection on Approachability as a Leader
    • Summary: The session begins with leaders reflecting on their own approachability. Participants will assess whether they consider themselves approachable and how this perception aligns with their team's view.
    • Elaboration: This prompts leaders to evaluate their openness and availability. It encourages honest introspection on how their behaviors, communication style, and leadership practices may influence their team's comfort in approaching them. Leaders will be invited to share personal insights and experiences to foster a deeper understanding of their approachability.
  2. Identifying Traits of an Approachable Leader
    • Summary: Participants will discuss the characteristics and behaviors that define an approachable leader.
    • Elaboration: This point focuses on identifying specific qualities that make a leader approachable, such as empathy, active listening, openness to feedback, and consistent communication. The discussion will also explore real-life examples of how these traits manifest in leadership practices. Leaders will be encouraged to consider how they embody these traits and what additional steps they can take to enhance their approachability.
  3. Cultivating a Safer Space for Team Engagement
    • Summary: The session will conclude with strategies for improving the workplace environment to make it safer and more comfortable for team members to approach their leaders.
    • Elaboration: This discussion will center on practical actions leaders can take to create a psychologically safe environment. Topics may include fostering trust, being transparent, offering regular one-on-one check-ins, and being proactive in seeking input from all team members. The goal is to equip leaders with actionable steps to enhance the sense of safety and approachability within their teams.

This session is designed to encourage leaders to reflect on their own practices, learn from peers, and develop strategies to become more approachable, ultimately leading to a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
