Join us for a sensory journey that defies the standard "Old World vs. New World" map.

"To understand where wine is going, we must return to where it began."
Back to the Wine Roots is an immersive tasting and networking experience designed for those who appreciate the heritage of the "Old World" but have an appetite for the bold, fresh perspectives of the “New.” This session dedicated to the pioneers reclaiming ancient terroir with a radical, modern spirit. From the birthplace of viticulture to the rugged peaks of the Bekaa Valley, we are going back to the basics to discover the future of the glass.
We’ve curated a lineup of "outsider" spirits and ancestral techniques that challenge the status quo. Our selection focuses on high-altitude, low-intervention, and historically significant pours:
- Bedoba (Georgia): Journey to the cradle of wine. Experience the power of Saperavi grapes, fermented in traditional clay Qvevri—a 8,000-year-old technique that is currently taking the modern natural wine scene by storm.
- Chateau Marsyas (Lebanon): A masterclass in resilience and elegance. These wines from the Bekaa Valley balance solar intensity with a stunning, limestone-driven freshness.
- Altugnac (France): Discover the Languedoc’s "New Expression." By focusing on altitude and precision, Altugnac proves that even the most historic French regions can reinvent themselves with vibrancy and lift.
- Testalonga (South Africa): The ultimate disruptor. Craig Hawkins is at the forefront of the "New South Africa," producing raw, energetic, and soul-stirring wines that emphasize skin contact and zero additives.
- The "Outider": A wild card entry chosen to challenge your palate and spark conversation.
Authentic, unpretentious, and focused on the stories behind the labels, this gathering isn't your typical sniff and swirl event.
