Discover how quantum computing with ultracold atoms works and explore the research behind this emerging technology during an exclusive lab visit.

A global race to develop quantum computers is currently underway, and Singapore is actively contributing through support for multiple hardware platforms. Among these, ultracold atom platforms stand out as one of the most promising candidates. In Singapore, this effort is driven by a collaboration between leading local universities, NTU and NUS, and French partners including CNRS and Université Côte d'Azur, under the umbrella of the joint French-Singaporean laboratory, MajuLab. During the visit, we will explain the potential applications of quantum computing, provide an update on the current state of development, and walk through how a quantum computer based on ultracold atoms works. The visit will conclude with a demonstration of the system.
