ICAI and ST Engineering Sign MOU at Singapore Airshow 2026 to Advance Aviation Innovation Ecosystem

ICAI and ST Engineering have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Singapore Airshow 2026 today to strengthen Singapore’s aviation innovation ecosystem through shared research, development, and technology demonstration initiatives.

This partnership brings together ICAI’s leadership in national aviation research to accelerate transformative projects with ST Engineering’s strengths in aviation expertise and technology translation, creating meaningful opportunities for cross‑learning and long‑term capability building within Singapore’s aviation ecosystem.

The collaboration will focus on five key areas:
- 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 – research areas include advanced composite technologies, high‑rate manufacturing, and new non‑destructive testing methods
- 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨 𝐔𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 – advanced cross-border cargo unmanned aircraft systems, traffic management concepts, and multi-modal applications
- 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 – digital and automation‑enabled air traffic management capabilities, including digital taxiing solutions
- 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 – integration of digital twin technologies into terminal, landside, and airside activities to identify hotspots and improve operational models
