Orange Business signed an MOU with SBS Transit in Singapore

This morning, SBS Transit Ltd marked a major milestone at its inaugural International Metro Operators’ Summit (IMOS) 2025, announcing ten new strategic partnerships with both local and international industry leaders. These collaborations aim to accelerate the next phase of innovation in Singapore’s rail network and strengthen the foundation for a safer, smarter, and more sustainable urban mobility ecosystem.

One of the key partnerships unveiled was with the United Kingdom’s pinpoynt.ai. Together, SBS Transit and pinpoynt.ai will co-develop an AI-powered platform designed to deliver real-time crowd information across MRT stations. This solution will empower commuters to make more efficient travel decisions and improve overall passenger flow management. The announcement was witnessed by the Right Honourable Mr George Freeman FRSA MP, UK Trade Envoy to Singapore; His Excellency Mr Nikesh Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore; and Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, who graced the event as Guest of Honour.

SBS Transit also announced a new collaboration with the Singapore branch of France’s Orange Business Services. This partnership focuses on co-developing a unified communications system to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen network resilience—key elements in ensuring more reliable and seamless journeys for commuters. The announcement was witnessed by His Excellency Mr Stephen Marchisio, French Ambassador to Singapore, alongside Guest of Honour Mr Jeffrey Siow.

Attendees were invited to explore additional groundbreaking partnerships through a showcase on-site, highlighting SBS Transit’s continued commitment to advancing rail technology, passenger experience, and sustainable operations.

SBS Transit expressed its appreciation to all partners present, acknowledging their shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of urban rail innovation. The organisation looks forward to working collaboratively to shape a future where rail systems are increasingly intelligent, resilient, and environmentally sustainable.
