Past Event | Inspirational Women Leaders' Series #17
The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore was proud to organise the 17th edition of our Inspirational Women Leaders Series — an inspiring and thought-provoking conversation on leadership, resilience and inclusion.
This edition was graciously hosted by Sofitel Singapore City Centre, and we extend our warmest thanks for their generous hospitality and for the delicious welcome that made the evening even more memorable.
We were honoured to welcome Maud Bailly, CEO at Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems, and Sylvie Gleises, CEO Asia at AXA XL, who shared powerful insights from their journeys as executive leaders. The session was skillfully moderated by Pauline Le Borgne, General Manager at Cetim-Matcor, whose thoughtful questions sparked meaningful dialogue.
Participants left with key takeaways on the evolving nature of leadership and the importance of inclusive and authentic workplaces:
1. Leadership is learned, not inborn
Management is a continuous learning journey — authenticity, self-awareness, and agility are critical, especially in times of crisis.
2. Build strong, supportive circles
Surround yourself with mentors, allies, and “nudgers” who challenge and support your growth personally and professionally.
3. Overcome fear and impostor syndrome
Transform self-doubt into motivation. Align your work with your passion and values to lead with confidence.
4. Champion diversity and inclusion
Stay committed to collective progress in leadership diversity — it requires constant vigilance and action.
5. Prioritise wellbeing and boundaries
Protect your time, care for your loved ones, and remember that words — including your own — hold the power to heal or harm
A warm thank you to our truly inspiring speakers for taking the time to be with us. Your words planted a powerful seed in all of us. There is no doubt that many future nudgers were born that evening.
And thank you as well to everyone who joined and helped make this evening such a meaningful and energising moment of connection.
