Sodexo Publishes FY25 Sustainability Journey Report for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa

Sodexo has released For A Better Tomorrow: Sodexo’s FY25 Sustainability Journey in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA), a report highlighting practical initiatives and measurable outcomes achieved with clients and partners across the region.

The report focuses on how sustainability ambitions are translated into concrete service delivery. In FY25, the company advanced several initiatives, including the expansion of its data-driven WasteWatch programme, which reached 87.1% of eligible food operations and supported a 46.0% reduction in pre-consumer food waste, preventing 3,700 tonnes of waste and 25,738 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Energy efficiency efforts also delivered results. Across 40 sites in Asia-Pacific for a global pharmaceutical client, electricity consumption was reduced by 5%, generating USD 45,000 in utility savings and cutting 206 tonnes of CO₂ emissions within a year as part of broader net-zero efforts.

Responsible sourcing continued to progress across the region, with 88.4% sustainable fish and seafood, 58.3% Fairtrade coffee and 95.1% sustainable hygiene paper in Asia-Pacific operations.

The report also highlights social impact initiatives, including collaborations with NGOs that have reached a cumulative 4.3 million beneficiaries through the Stop Hunger programme across APMEA. In addition, 99.9% of on-site management and senior leaders completed sustainability learning modules, strengthening internal capabilities to drive consistent progress.
