Babak Tavassolie is Head Analyst in SCOR’s Political and Credit Risk team, where he oversees risk management for the team’s global portfolio. Before joining SCOR, he held roles at Chubb, Sompo, Credit Suisse, and Standard Bank of South Africa. Babak studied East Asian Studies in Bochum and Shanghai and later completed a degree in International Relations at SOAS, University of London, after spending a year as a journalist in Beijing. Born in Iran, he lived in the Soviet Union before moving to Germany in the mid-1980s and the UK in 2007.
