Elias GhanemClient Partner Head of Business Transformation at Capgemini

Elias Ghanem is currently Client Partner Head of Business Transformation at Capgemini.

He supports financial institutions in growing sustainably, entering new markets, and navigating complex transformation.

He brings 20+ years of experience across Payments, e‑Payments, and FinTech, spanning business creation, market expansion, and strategic partnerships. In his current role, he works closely with a leading APAC bank on business transformation programs and commercial initiatives across Southeast Asia.

He has held Regional Managing Director roles at PayPal (eBay Inc.), Visa, and Accor, with P&L responsibility across MENA, APAC, and LATAM. Over time, he has contributed to launching and scaling operations, supporting revenue growth, market expansion, and improved profitability.

His work focuses on market entry and growth strategies across emerging markets (B2B and B2C), with an emphasis on practical execution—customer acquisition, monetization, and retention across digital and partner-led channels.

He has built partnerships with banks, regulators, telecom operators, and technology platforms, and worked across teams covering strategy, sales, and business development in global, matrixed environments.

Alongside his executive roles, he serves as Chairman, board member, and mentor to startups, and invests in fintech companies addressing everyday payment challenges—increasing financial inclusion (and thus reducing corruption), reducing reliance on cash, improving cross-border flows, and expanding alternative payment methods, with focus on digital assets and stablecoins.
