Julien BoullandGas specialist at Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore

Julien Boulland is the regional technical focal point and subject-matter expert for gas, within Bureau Veritas, Marine & Offshore, Singapore. His company provides services to the maritime industry in classification, certification, and advisory services on regulatory matters, with a focus on protection of life, protection of the environment and protection of the asset.

Julien’s work covers LNG/LPG carriers, FSRU, LNG bunkering and LNG / alternative fuels (Ammonia, Methanol, Hydrogen,..) as marine fuel.

He was recently involved in the development of the Singapore technical reference (TR56) on LNG Bunkering as co-chair of working group.

Julien joined Bureau Veritas group 15 years ago, with 6 years in Paris Head-office and 9 years in Singapore; he holds a MSc. in Maritime Engineering Science from the University of Southampton in UK, and an Engineering Diploma from the Ecole des Mines de Nancy, France.
