The REIDS-SPORE Platform: One more step in ENGIE’s R&D strategy in Asia-Pacific towards carbon neutrality

Join us for this unique site visit with ENGIE Lab Singapore at REIDS-SPORE site.

ENGIE Lab Singapore is the research centre of ENGIE for Asia-Pacific. It brings the technical expertise of ENGIE Research in APAC by developing local expertise leveraging on ENGIE Research networks and allowing access in the region to all the technical expertise developed by ENGIE Research in Europe.

Based in Singapore since 2015,  ENGIE Lab Singapore primarily addressed 3 technological areas: Smart-Grid, Future Industries and Cities & New Gases. In 2020 the Lab refocused its strategy to stay in line with group strategy and local context and strengthen its expertise in cooling, sustainable data center, vertical farming and local energy communities including REIDS-SPORE multifluid multi-thematic platform.

The REIDS-SPORE platform is a flagship project that strengthens ENGIE’s goal of moving towards carbon neutrality, where ENGIE’s expertise in smart grids, industry energy efficiency, and smart cities is reflected. It is used by ENGIE group and its collaborators, several educational and research institutes to test and develop additional solutions.

As a state-of-the-art, multi-fluid microgrid solution, it consists of a micro-grid that generates 550 kW of electricity and boasts the largest wind turbine at 100kW that can be found in Singapore as well as a hydrogen full chain for electricity and mobility.
