Visit and learn more about MASERA microgrid project (Microgrid for Affordable and Sustainable Electricity in Remote Areas)
EDF, Enedis and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) launched the MASERA microgrid project (Microgrid for Affordable and Sustainable Electricity in Remote Areas) on October 31st 2018
MASERA is a project in the Renewable Energy Integration Demonstrator – Singapore (REIDS), managed by the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the National Environment Agency (NEA), the REIDS programme is a pioneer dedicated to designing, demonstrating and testing solutions for sustainable and affordable energy access-for-all in Southeast Asia, as well as the future of urban electricity distribution. The demonstrator platform is located on Semakau Landfill.
MASERA promotes a pre-commercial and innovative microgrid solution based on three key objectives:
