Practical and legal point of view on M&A during this challenging period
COVID-19 is continuing to impact M&A in the APAC region and beyond. While deal activity has fallen in the region in comparison to last year, M&A transactions in Q1 were still happening in some sectors such as e-commerce and renewables.
Jacques Pickering, from Pickering Pacific, a corporate finance advisory firm, together with Michael Chin and Lucas Nicolet-Serra from international law firm Simmons & Simmons, will be discussing the M&A landscape during this challenging period, from a practical and legal point of view, and the lasting impact of the economic and societal changes on how deals are conducted.
They will also be looking at the potential impact on M&A activity for the second quarter and beyond, looking at what the “new normal” might look like for M&A post COVID-19 and will conclude with recommendations for the next few months.
