French Lab Singapore launches brand new website

The French Lab Singapore is pleased to announce the launch of the brand new French Lab Singapore website. To have access to the new and official directory of the members and to keep in touch between members, we encourage you to register and ask for a membership, it’s free

All the members will have access to each other’s information through this brand-new directory.

As a reminder, the French Lab Singapore aims to:

  • Inform the French research community in Singapore of academic, scientific and technological cooperation between France and Singapore and the various channels of support
  • Initiate regular meetings such as conferences, seminars, laboratory visits, casual gatherings, to foster social and professional cohesion
  • Connect the academic researchers with the R&D centers and innovation laboratories of French MNCs to identify possible areas of cooperation
  • Develop new research collaborations between members, Singaporean and international researchers based in Singapore
  • Promote the mobility of Singaporean and international researchers to France
  • Establish links between researchers of French Lab Singapore and entrepreneurs of French Tech Singapore

How often do we meet? Under what circumstances?

  • Once a month minimum through After Labs: After Labs are casual events held in cafés or bars at which a scientist is invited to talk about his area of work. This is followed by a relaxed networking session
  •  Visits of research and innovation centers: Organisation of visits of laboratories and R&D centers for the members only
  • Spotlight On: French Lab Singapore members are interviewed on his / her life and work in Singapore and the interview is published on the French Lab Singapore website under the section “Spotlight On” intended to give more visibility to the members of the French Lab
  • Information on events: as much information as possible will be communicated via LinkedIn, email, and website of French Lab Singapore about pertinent and relevant research events taking place in Singapore as well as information on grants or projects.

Of course, any idea or participation to help us foster partnerships is much welcome.

Also we are building a listing of the different French and joint research and innovation centers in Singapore. You can send us information about the latter and we will add a page in the near future with the additional information provided:

  • A photo
  • Name of the research unit
  • Address
  • Last name and first name of a person in charge of the unit
  • Short text of introduction of the research centerResearchers and professionals who want to connect with the community are welcome to email us and send us their suggestions.
