Past Event | Robotics in Operations: Human-Machine Collaboration

Robotics is moving from the lab into everyday operations, and the real question is how people and machines work best together.

Our Tech & Innovation Committee session on Robotics in Operations: Human-Machine Collaboration brought together Domenico Campolo (NTU), Noemie Lauer (Capgemini Invent), Cheston Tan (A*STAR), and Olivier Castaignede (Ingedata) for a candid look at where physical AI really stands today.

The discussion covered real-world use cases, the challenges of data collection and physical interaction, security, and the human side of deployment, from safety in shared workspaces to building trust with the people working alongside robots. A recurring theme: the nearer-term gains lie in smarter mobile robots, arms, and cobots rather than humanoids, and success depends as much on preparing people and processes as on the technology itself.

A big thank you to our speakers for such an open and practical discussion, and to everyone who joined us at the French Chamber Meeting Room.
