Mission & Objectives
Singapore’s healthcare system frequently ranks among the best in the world, and is admired by many other nations due to its well-developed and efficient healthcare. The healthcare system in Singapore is characterized by a combination of public and private services, focusing on accessibility, affordability, and high-quality care.
As a true strategic hub for health in the ASEAN region, Singapore enjoys a strong reputation for its research and clinical trial activities. The city-state has developed an environment conducive to medical innovations and initiatives aimed at researcher training.
The French presence in Singapore is highly dynamic in the field of health innovation, with more than 40 companies identified in this sector, including major groups that are among global leaders (BioMerieux, International SOS, Ipsen, Pierre Fabre, Sanofi, Servier....).
The Healthcare Committee aims to:
- Promote and represent the healthcare industry in Singapore and the region
- Provide a platform for information sharing between various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and equipment, healthcare & wellness, and services
- Develop cooperation between French companies and local institutions
- Advocate French expertise in healthcare matters
The French Chamber's Smarthealth platform is an initiative of the Healthcare committee to further engage French expertise in the Singapore healthcare industry and to build a collaborative approach mixing French MNCs and Startups in an innovative way.
