Cherie TanAgTech + Regenerative Agriculture Lead at Agrifood Futures

Cherie Tan is a systems strategist and advisor focused on scaling regenerative agriculture, forest governance, and nature-based solutions across Asia. She currently leads the Southeast Asia portfolio for the UK government’s Forest Governance, Markets and Climate (FGMC) programme, supporting governance reforms that connect land-use decisions in tropic forest landscapes with climate resilience, smallholder livelihoods, and responsible supply chains.

Cherie also serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to Kaleka, an Indonesian nonprofit working at the frontier of forest protection and regenerative farming, and supports AgriFood Futures in co-creating Living Labs that connect climate-smart agri innovations with corporate partners. Through this platform, she also mentors agri-tech startups to secure funding and strategic partnerships.

Previously, she held regional leadership roles in sustainable supply chain management, public affairs and stakeholder engagement, communications, and sustainability at Bayer, Unilever, the RGE Group, and WWF. She brings deep experience in delivering landscape-scale impact—from no-deforestation palm oil, to responsible wood fibre production, circularity in textiles, and low-emissions rice systems.
