Ye Sheng Tan is the startup business acceleration APAC chapter lead for Trust My Tech, Thales’ global open innovation program, which sources for startups in the fields of AI, cybersecurity, quantum, data and hardware, applied to the domains of defence, aerospace, space, cybersecurity and digital identity to address the challenges of the corporate’s business lines. His experience lies in over 10 years in early-stage startups in Asia, ecosystem building, venture capital and angel investing. His entrepreneurial journey began when he started his own company during his university days, and worked at a university incubator after graduation, before co-founding a Southeast Asian venture capital fund and led investments with one exit under his belt, and eventually moving on to corporate venturing and innovation at the present. He actively gives back to the local ecosystem by mentoring startup founders and managing his own personal portfolio of angel investments.
