About the author
Srividya Jandhyala is a Professor of Management at ESSEC Business School. Her research focuses on global strategy, geopolitics, and international business. Her award-winning research has been published in a wide range of top academic journals. She serves as an Associate Editor at Global Strategy Journal.
Srividya teaches courses on Strategy, International Business, and Geopolitics in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs. Prior to joining ESSEC in Singapore, she was on the faculty of the George Washington University in Washington, DC. She was previously also a Fung Global Fellow at Princeton University. She holds a PhD in Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a MSc from the London School of Economics and a BTech from the University of Madras.
About the discussant
Andrew Delios is Provost’s Chair Professor and Vice-Dean MSc Programs at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. He was Head of the Department of Strategy and Policy at NUS for eight years. His research looks at strategy, governance and global competition in emerging economies, with a particular focus on international business issues for companies operating in East and Southeast Asia.
Andrew has authored more than 100 journal articles and book chapters, as well as seven books and over 30 cases. He was an owner and director in Belgarath Investments Limited, a company that was engaged in international franchising in Asia, both as a franchisee and franchisor, with such brands as Chili’s, Subway and Sarpino’s Pizza. He completed his Ph.D. in 1998 at the Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University of Ontario.
