Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and ZOOX Smart Data team up to deliver a full cloud-based Wi-Fi solution
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications and infrastructure solutions, has signed a global technology partnership with ZOOX Smart Data, a leader in advanced cloud-based Wi-Fi, Big Data marketing, business intelligence and geolocation solutions.
The increasing demand for consumer insight from smart cities, hotels, shopping malls, airports, stadiums and the transportation industry has been particularly high as data has become a key driver for marketing decisions. The partnership will enhance the deployment of ALE Wireless LAN solutions by combining them with the ZOOX platform to offer a new generation of services and transform Wi-Fi into a powerful data-driven marketing platform that capitalises on existing infrastructure.
The ZOOX cloud-based captive portal enables user engagement and provides access to robust demographic/psychographic user datasets, in full compliance of local and global regulations such as GDPR. The portal, currently installed in over 4000 corporate client premises, includes key functionalities such as:
- Full compatibility with ALE hardware
- Customisable guest portal with bespoke splash and landing pages
- Bandwidth and infrastructure monitoring
- Customisation of bandwidth distribution(per user, per access point…)
- Automatic load balancing between users option
- Wi-Fi monetisation (online advertising, satisfaction surveys, interactions with users, upselling)
- Management of multiple SSIDs
Together, ALE and ZOOX will offer a consolidated user engagement approach that enables businesses to better know and understand their customers in order to improve the guest experience.
