Astek acquires RIVERSEN and strengthens its "Intelligent Industry" branch

Astek has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Riversen, a French engineering consulting company, specializing in large-scale projects in the construction, industry, infrastructure, energy, environment and transport sectors (Greater Paris, EPR, high-speed lines, etc.). Riversen is expanding rapidly and currently employs 350 people in France, with sales of €24m.

This transaction will enable Astek to round out its engineering offering, strengthen its geographical footprint and support the development of its "Resources, Energy & Infrastructures" Global Business Line, which accounts for 10% of Group sales.

Riversen was set up in 2017 in Lyon, before moving to Paris. It has developed expertise in all stages of a project, from design to production start-up, through a wide range of engineering consultancy services: studies, project management, construction, commissioning, etc.

Riversen brings its recognised skills in R&D, consulting and major project management to major accounts. This joint expertise opens up major opportunities for commercial cross-selling on high-growth projects, by offering complementary digital and engineering solutions to a broader portfolio of customers.

"This merger will enable Riversen to pursue its development by benefiting from the presence of the Astek Group in France and internationally, bringing new opportunities to its employees," commented Loïc Lénial d'Amari, founder of Riversen.

In addition to average organic growth of over 20%, Astek plans to pursue its policy of targeted acquisitions, with the aim of achieving sales of €1 billion by 2027, and 14,000 employees worldwide.

Julien Gavaldon, CEO of Astek, added: "The acquisition of Riversen is a further step in our development. With Riversen's proven expertise in construction, infrastructure, energy, the environment and transport, we are strengthening our Intelligent Industry division with high-level skills in R&D, consultancy and the implementation of large-scale projects. We are now in a position to provide comprehensive support to our customers in France and around the world. I am delighted to be able to involve all Riversen employees in Astek's development adventure.”
