LUXASIA is thrilled to share that Satyaki Banerjee will be appointed CEO, LUXASIA Group, effective 1 July 2025, taking over from Dr. Wolfgang Baier. In an exclusive interview with BW Confidential, Dr. Wolfgang Baier and Satyaki Banerjee discussed what's next for LUXASIA Group through leadership transition in the exciting and swiftly evolving Asia Pacific beauty market. Here, allow us to share more about this unique and meaningful leadership transition below:
This transition marks a key milestone in our journey and the culmination of many years of thoughtful succession planning, with full support of the family. Satyaki’s appointment reflects our strong belief in cultivating leaders from within, enabling us to preserve our unique culture, ensure continuity, and sustain our momentum into the future.
Wolfgang has led the Group with distinction for the past nine years. Under Wolfgang’s leadership, LUXASIA expanded its geographic footprint, onboarded new brands, diversified into new categories — including a strong entry into luxury lifestyle with Dyson in Indonesia — and earned multiple accolades, including attaining the Gold Status for Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies Award after four consecutive wins. Most notably, he steered LUXASIA through the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, taking great care of our people. A big THANK YOU to Wolfgang – you have made a difference to all of us LUXASIANS.
Satyaki is a proven and respected leader with a solid track record of strategic execution and operational excellence. As Group COO, he has led cross-functional teams across our markets, driving growth and elevating commercial performance. His leadership has been integral to LUXASIA’s transformation. We are thrilled and our entire One Team continues to stand strong and united as we forge ahead into a bright future with greater heights under the executive leadership of Satyaki.
