Past Event | French Pavilion at the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2026

The Team France Export of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) successfully organised the French Pavilion during Singapore Maritime Week 2026, held at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.

From 21 to 23 April 2026, the French Pavilion gathered a delegation of innovative French companies showcasing cutting-edge expertise in the maritime sector: GTT, HAROPA PORT, Port of Marseille Fos, IEC Telecom Group, ULTIMETAS, OceanWings, and OBIOSEED.

We were honoured to welcome Mr Murali Pillai SC, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Ministry of Transport, Republic of Singapore; H.E. Stephen Marchisio, French Ambassador to Singapore; and Mr Eric Banel, Director General for Directorate General for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture  (DGAMPA - Direction Générale des affaires maritimes, de la pêche et de l’aquaculture.), alongside industry leaders, institutional partners, and an international audience eager to engage with French expertise and innovation.

As part of the programme, a roundtable organised by OceanWings titled “Canopée RORO: Three Years of Sailing with OceanWings – Feedback from the Shipowner” brought together key industry voices, including H.E. Stephen Marchisio, French Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Emmanuel Schalit (CEO, OceanWings), Mr Eric Banel (Director General DGAMPA), Mr Jean-Michel Berud (CEO, Jifmar Group), and Mr Koh Yong-Ping (Chief Executive, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore Singapore), fostering insightful exchanges on maritime decarbonisation and operational feedback from real-world deployment.

The French Pavilion programme also benefited from strong engagement from institutional and industry partners. For the third consecutive year, we were delighted to collaborate with TotalEnergies to support 10 SMEs during Singapore Maritime Week.

Throughout the event, the French Pavilion attracted a high number of professional visitors, generating strong visibility and business opportunities for participating companies. The initiative aims to support the development of French companies in the maritime sector by facilitating connections with regional partners, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers across Southeast Asia.

A heartfelt thank you to our valued partners — TotalEnergies, GICAN,Pôle Mer Méditerranée, Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique and Cluster Maritime Français — as well as to all our exhibitors and visitors who contributed to the success of this year’s Pavilion. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.
