Peak Energy Expands Singapore Solar Capacity with 10 MW Acquisition from Maiora Renewable Energy

Peak Energy has acquired a 10 MW portfolio of operating rooftop solar sites from Maiora Renewable Energy, enhancing local renewable capacity for Singapore-based corporates amid ongoing fuel market volatility.

With recent geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Singapore’s continued reliance on imported LNG, local industrial players face significant exposure to fuel-linked price swings and long-term cost uncertainty.

The acquisition substantially increases the volume of domestic rooftop solar assets available to corporates, enabling aggregation into meaningful volumes and supporting discussions on long-term virtual power purchase agreements (VPPAs) for locally sourced renewable electricity. As updates to the GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance highlight the importance of “where and when” power is delivered, operators can now secure consolidated low-carbon power with clear delivery timelines.

By focusing on domestic operating assets, Peak Energy provides corporate buyers with a robust solution against cross-border import challenges and complex multi-jurisdiction projects, offering improved price visibility and reduced exposure to geopolitical risks and LNG price fluctuations.
