Decarbonizing shipping : Creating sustainable pathways to a zero-carbon maritime industry

Shipping's energy transition is dominating the conversation across the energy and maritime industry for the past years in the race to tackle climate change.

From shipowners to fuel producers through financiers and governments, each have a role to play and unique challenges and potential solutions to cutting fossils fuels and boosting clean energies in reaching a common goal of transitioning to zero-carbon energy sources.

As part of the Energy Observer’s first major stopover in Asia, in Singapore - the heart of the maritime industry, representing mixed cultures, technologies, innovations and ambitions -  The French Chamber of Commerce will host a roundtable to discuss the top challenges and strategies to address the rapid scale of the energy transition in the maritime industry.

During this panel discussion, our key experts will share about the race for decarbonization, which strategy to adopt across the shipping value chain, what new energy and renewable hydrogen technology will play in advancing the energy transition.

FULL - Visit of the Energy Observer laboratory & Exhibition - 

Prior to the conference, a visit of the Energy Observer laboratory boat and exhibition will be organized. This is an unique opportunity to see technologies combining multiple sources of energy (solar, wind and hydro power and forms of storage, batteries and above all hydrogen).
