Explore how ports and terminals are redesigning infrastructure to support Net Zero ambitions.

Description

As the maritime sector accelerates its transition toward Net Zero, ports and terminals are emerging as critical enablers of decarbonisation. This session will examine how port infrastructure is being redesigned to reduce emissions while maintaining efficiency, reliability, and competitiveness.

The discussion will focus on key transformation levers such as the electrification of port and terminal assets, and the integration of smart energy systems to better manage consumption and demand. It will also highlight the growing role of digital tools and platforms in optimising energy use, operational performance, and logistics flows across increasingly complex port ecosystems.

Participants will gain a forward-looking view of the challenges and opportunities facing ports on the path to Net Zero, and exchange perspectives on how infrastructure, technology, and collaboration can come together to support more sustainable maritime operations.
