Rainforest Alliance Standards Drive Transition Toward Regenerative Agriculture, Says ECOCERT SEA

ECOCERT South East Asia & Pacific highlights the growing strategic importance of sustainable and regenerative agriculture as agribusinesses face increasing regulatory pressure, climate risks, and evolving market expectations.
The transition from traditional organic systems toward more holistic, regenerative approaches is becoming essential for supply chain resilience. The Rainforest Alliance Sustainable Agriculture Standard and the new Regenerative Agriculture Standard provide a science-based framework to support this shift.
These standards aim to help producers and brands improve climate resilience, enhance yields, restore ecosystems, and comply with tightening global requirements. They integrate key sustainability dimensions such as soil health, biodiversity protection, water stewardship, and responsible labour practices.
With more than 8 million farmers supported globally and expanded certification programs for crops including coffee, cocoa, tea, and citrus, the Rainforest Alliance continues to scale its impact through 2026.
ECOCERT SEA supports agribusinesses in adopting Rainforest Alliance certification to strengthen supply chain integrity, reduce environmental and social risks, and enable credible sustainability claims, contributing to the broader transition toward resilient farming systems.
