RATP Dev, in partnership with SBS Transit Ltd, has entered into an agreement with Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) to operate and maintain the Jurong Region Line (JRL), Singapore’s seventh Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line. The contract was awarded to Singapore One Rail, a joint venture between the two operators.
Set to open in phases from 2027, the JRL will enhance connectivity across western Singapore—from Jurong Industrial Estate to Tengah New Town—serving key residential, educational, and industrial areas.
This partnership brings together RATP Dev’s international leadership in automated metro systems across Paris, Sydney, Doha, and Riyadh, and SBS Transit’s established expertise in managing Singapore’s urban rail services.
Together, the partners will deliver a safe, reliable, and forward-looking MRT service, leveraging AI, data analytics, and smart monitoring tools to meet the evolving needs of urban mobility.
This signing marks a major milestone in the expansion of Singapore’s public transport infrastructure and underscores RATP Dev’s continued commitment to shaping next-generation urban mobility in Asia.
