Exploring strategic autonomy, dual-use innovation, and public-private collaboration in a fragmented geopolitical landscape.
As space becomes increasingly central to national security and economic resilience, the pursuit of technological sovereignty in orbit—particularly in areas such as Earth observation, secure communications, and dual-use systems—has emerged as a global imperative.
This session brings together public and private sector leaders to explore how nations can develop sovereign space capabilities while navigating complex export controls, regulatory frameworks, and global interdependencies.
Through real-world case studies, the discussion will examine:
The challenges of achieving space autonomy for globally integrated nations;
The impact of export regulations on innovation and cooperation;
The role of dual-use technologies in advancing both civil and defense goals;
And how government agencies and economic development bodies can support secure, innovation-driven ecosystems.
As strategic competition extends beyond Earth, the ability to balance sovereignty, security, and collaboration in space will shape the future of global power dynamics.
