Throwback to our recent SME Roundtable session on Asia Tax Decoded: What Every Business Leader Needs to Know, led by Jordi Bonabosch, SAPMENA Tax Director at L’Oréal.
Drawing on his extensive regional experience, Jordi shared concrete perspectives on how business leaders can navigate Asia’s increasingly complex tax landscape, offering real-life examples relevant to both multinational groups and growing SMEs.
Key learnings from the session included:
- Seek local tax advice early, notably before implementing a cross-border transaction;
- Transfer Pricing is not just for multinationals, SMEs are increasingly in scope. Check if your local revenues, or cross-border transactions exceed local TP documentation thresholds;
- Beware when sending employees abroad for extended periods;
- Pay attention to tax leakages when invoicing abroad.
