Event report

Past Event | ESSEC–FCCS C-Suite Dialogue Series #5: Sustainable Marketing

Thank you to our speakers Baptiste Le Gal, Chief Revenue Officer APAC at Vestiaire Collective, Nathaniel Gregory, Circular Economy Leader at Decathlon Singapore, and moderator Prof. Tuck S.(Jonah) Chung, Associate Professor of Marketing at ESSEC Business School, for this very informative and interactive conversation on what role Marketing plays in the companies’ journey towards greater sustainability.

Highlights and key takeaways of the events:

  • Sustainability has to be in the C-Suite’s agenda and companies will need to choose impactful changes carefully, with the help of data.
  • It is also important to consider what is feasible for your business model as you cannot just ignore the economic costs behind it.
  • To avoid greenwashing, companies need to be transparent and choosing the partners carefully.
  • To influence consumers towards more sustainable behaviour, the changes have to come from company itself (i.e.: stop giving free bags; change eco-design range)
