Past Event | HR CLUB - Breakfast Meeting - Internal Training

We had the pleasure of hosting our FCCS HR Club session at STMicroelectronics, dedicated to the topic: Internal Talent Development: Growing Capabilities from Within
A big thank you to François Suquet, Group VP HR & CSR Asia Pacific at STMicroelectronics, for a thoughtful and insightful session and for hosting us.
In a context of skills shortages and evolving business needs, the discussion highlighted several powerful takeaways:
- Developing talent requires a prepared and structured environment.
- People often have hidden sides; potential is not always immediately visible.
- Systems and processes must be robust to minimise bias.
- While strengths can almost always be further leveraged, turning a weakness into a strength is far more difficult, the focus should be on managing and moderating weaknesses.
- A key equation to sum it all up: Attitude × Aptitude = Altitude
What made this session particularly valuable was the open, collaborative format — moving beyond best-practice sharing to genuine peer learning around the evolving roles of HR and managers in talent development.
Thank you to all our HR Club members for the quality of the exchanges and their continued commitment.
The FCCS HR Club is a “by invitation only“ Club and represents a community of regional HR Directors committed to sharing best practices and expanding their knowledge on various topics relating to HR management in the region. It is a great forum to meet and network with like-minded individuals.
